Bucket & Crane Service

"Do it yourself" tree removal can be very dangerous when it isn't done by experts. Mid Ohio Tree Service employees are fully licensed and insured — don't run the risk of hiring an unlicensed or uninsured worker. We remove trees of any size, from any location, and specialize in the most dangerous and difficult removals because we own the necessary equipment for the job.

Operator-run bucket trucks let us reach hard-to-access jobs and remove dead trees that are deemed unsafe to climb. Using the correct equipment makes work conditions safer for our team and your property.

Tree Cabling & Bracing

The fork of a tree is the weakest point of its structure. Installing a cable system helps support the main forks and deters breakage from strong winds and ice storms — letting you keep the natural beauty of the tree while making it more secure against storm-related property damage. Cabling and bracing can also stabilize areas of disease or decay.

When Should Cabling & Bracing Be Used?

These stabilization methods should be used only when the supports meaningfully reduce the risk of tree or limb failure. Cabling supports dangerous or damaged limbs and junctions known as crotches, while bracing uses steel rods for more rigid support. Some trees are more prone to these issues than others — our professional arborists will visit your property and evaluate which branches and crotches may need this protection.

What Does It Entail?

Using anchors such as eyebolts combined with thimbles and cables, cabling supports horizontal branches and protects them from failure — particularly useful for unusually large, heavy limbs. Bracing repairs or stabilizes split and weak crotches by placing threaded rods through adjacent branches, sized to the tree. Proper technique is essential, and we return for regular inspections of these systems. When appropriate, these techniques can also provide lightning protection for your trees.
